In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood today, woke up to the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. This news came as a great jolt to his colleagues and fans alike who expressed disbelief over it.
Television & Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, aged 34 was found hanging at his Bandra residence. They were news surfacing the media that he was battling with depression for the past several months.
Ironically, in his last Bollywood outing- Chhichhore- the premise was battling failures in life and ending one’s life is never a way out.
A week ago, it was reported that his former manager Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping off her 14th-floor apartment in Mumbai.
On the work front, he had Dil Bechara- a remake of the Hollywood movie ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ based on the John Green novel by the same name- up for release. This will be his final film before his death.
Rajput, who won accolades for his movies, namely Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni – An Untold Story, Kedarnath and more recently Chhichhore was a flag-bearer and inspiration of sorts, not only for the youth but also to the Indian television fraternity. It cannot be forgotten that in his initial days, he convincingly played the lead, Manav Deshmukh, in the popular Zee TV drama – ‘Pavitra Rishta.’
Lots of messages were there on social media by his friends, fans, contemporaries, politicos alike as everyone is shell-shocked with this shattering piece of news.
